(28th February 2007) – Sands Macao today
marks the completion of a second Team Member Dining Room for its team
members. Completed shortly before the
Chinese Lunar New Year, the new Team Member Dining Room provides another
comfortable and spacious area where members of Sands’ expanding workforce can
dine and relax during their breaks at Sands Macao. Sands Macao
opened on 18th May 2004 with a team of approximately 3, 000 members
and has expanded rapidly ever since, and now the close to 9,000 team members
who have a greatly expanded recreation area in which to enjoy themselves when
off duty.

In
order to thank the team members for their continuous hard work and dedication,
Sands Macao has offered each of the 9,000 team members a red packet with a
MOP$500 note inside. For those members
who worked over the Chinese New Year holidays, there was an additional treat of
a special meal in one of either of our two Team Member Dining rooms, where
dishes on offer include braised whole abalone in oyster sauce, shark’s fin soup
with chicken, fried lobster, beef Wellington and a great many other fine
delicacies for which Sands’ cuisine is already well known.

the opening of The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel later this year, we are hoping
to attract yet more local talent to work with us,” said Mark A Brown, “We
strive to provide the best for our employees in Macao, and we strive to commit
to local people. To date close to 85% of
our 9,000 team members come from Macao;
and this number will continue to grow as the company expands on the Cotai
Strip!”
